The Opportunity

  • Provides operational project leadership, analytical support, and research services.
  • Coordinates projects for primary practice line and supports integration across practice lines.
  • Develops and implements processes in response to requests by Regional Directors and Medical Directors.
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives aimed at improving quality, performance, and operations.
  • Exercises independent judgment, executes complex assignments requiring special training or knowledge.
  • Provide consulting and advisory services to client, physician leaders, including Regional Directors and Medical Directors.
  • Provide project leadership, planning, implementation, and management of new and existing performance and quality improvement programs to improve operational performance, contract stability, patient satisfaction, financial viability, and knowledge dissemination along the acute care continuum (Ambulatory Care, Emergency Services, Inpatient Medicine and post-acute care).
  • Complement the Vituity Regional and Medical Director leadership by bringing an operational perspective to those assigned roles.
  • Coordinate and utilize internal Vituity resources to implement products and services as needed.
  • Interact with all departments within Vituity to ensure optimal use of resources by clients.
  • Report regularly on progress to Regional Directors Medical Directors.
  • Provides operational project leadership, management, and oversight for existing programs such as Quality and Process Improvement.
  • Provides Operational Assessment of the new sites in collaboration with other practice lines.
  • Facilitates improvement and stability of practice line operations.
  • Has a high level of understanding for scope, goals, and metrics for practice line, as well as in-depth knowledge of local site conditions and performance.
  • Recognizes opportunities for improvement, facilitating transition of improved workflow and care processes.
  • Provides leadership in development of new process improvement programs that address innovation, quality improvement, patient flow, and performance.
  • Implements, coordinates, and executes policies and operational initiatives for practice line.
  • Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team creating value propositions and analysis of success and impact of changes.
  • Delivers projects and programs that support the strategic goals of Vituity.
  • Leads or is an integral part of new site start-up processes.
  • Develop and monitor initiatives that will address site needs and overall Vituity strategic objectives.
  • Work with Regional and Medical Directors to assess site needs and identify potential contract threats and new contract opportunities.
  • Keep Regional and Medical Director apprised of significant deviations from meeting site and contract goals.
  • Provides operational expertise in areas such as revenue cycle management, physician educational programs, liaison to other practice lines, performance data analysis to assess performance and identify area for improvement, strategy design based on analysis, coordination of reports to executive teams, and development and analysis of dashboards, data, and score cards.
  • Provides project management and project support on an ad hoc basis for organizational/department initiatives as needed.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field required.
  • Hospital or healthcare-based managerial experience or relevant experience with a minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare required.
  • Current Registered Nursing license and/or certification in Project Management required.
  • Master’s Degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills, including financial statements and statistical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility quickly with Vituity and hospital clients.
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written. Polished public speaking skills with an ability to present to all types of audiences.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word).
  • Decision-making authority working in conjunction with Regional and Medical Directors and individual responsibility for prioritizing demands setting and meeting client expectations and meeting deadlines.
  • Complex analytical and problem-solving skills required to synthesize multiple sources of information, integrate political nuances, and diverse organizational tool sets.
